When my husband and I were dating, he drove a '99 Camry. One day, part of the drivers' side door handle broke off. A few weeks later, a larger chunk broke off. Eventually, the whole door handle was gone. For a while, we could get in by lifting a small piece of metal that once held the door handle. But that broke too, and we had to climb in through the passenger side.

Now I notice when Camrys are missing door handles.

That Camry's Missing One, Two, Three, FOUR Door Handles!

Yesterday I was in need of a little comic relief. I found it.  I wonder if the tornado sucked these door handles off.

A (Not So High-Speed) Chase

This afternoon as we were driving home (and I should have been watching the road), I spied a Camry with a broken door handle.  Luckily I had a copilot to snap the pic.  We lost the car in traffic but managed to catch it at a red light.  It's been a good day.

Hanging by a Thread

It's rare to find a Camry with a missing or broken door handle on passenger side or on one of the rear doors.  The driver's door gets the most use, and that is the one that commonly wears out first.  This specimen has two broken door handles -- and neither is the driver's door!
